CHILDHOOD CANCER
In this project, interviewed parents of children who were diagnosed before age 15 and completed cancer treatment 1-5 years ago. This aim of our research is to gain a more in-depth understand families’ experiences with childhood cancer, including first noticing something was wrong, experiences with diagnosis and treatment, decision-making about treatment and participation in clinical trials, impact on family members, life after treatment, survivorship, and late effects of cancer treatment. This module will be available on the website in 2024.
ADOLESCENT AND YOUNG ADULT CANCER
In this project, we are interviewing adolescents and young adults who were diagnosed between ages 15-24 and completed cancer treatment 1-5 years ago. This aim of our research is to gain a more in-depth understand the experience with cancer during adolescence and young adulthood, including first noticing something was wrong, experiences with diagnosis and treatment, decision-making about treatment and participation in clinical trials, impact on school and social life, impact on transition to adulthood, life after treatment, survivorship, and late effects of cancer treatment. GULF WAR ILLNESS
Our research seeks to better understand Gulf War Veterans’ experiences with Gulf War Illness. We anticipate that our module will be completed and on the website in 2024.
OPIOID USE DISORDER
The aim of our research is to develop a deeper understanding of people’s experiences with opioid use disorder. This module will include peoples’ experiences with using opioids, medication for opioid use disorder, other forms of treatment, accessing care, and the impact their illness has had on their day-to-day life. We anticipate that our module will be completed and on the website in 2024.
